Falkenberg's municipality is developing the new district of Tröinge, with a new school and sports hall.
The school is well planned with a high focus of creating flexible and adapted premises, which are optimal now but also in the future.
The new school is the municipality's largest projects. The school will have students from preschool to grade nine with each stage having a separate department and entrance. In connection to the school, a new sport center also will be built. The sports center will consist of a full-size sports hall that can be partitioned and a smaller hall. The schoolyard has been designed to be a safe and secure place, which is noticeable in several ways. Partly through the way it has been designed, partly through the location of the school. In the construction and planning of new cycle paths, tunnels and pick-up/drop-off points, has priority been given to creating as safe and secure an environment as possible. This is one of Peikko´s biggest school projects. The school consists of buildings that are linked through two diagonal hallway buildings. Peikko's Composite Beam are found throughout all buildings. With Peikko's Composite Beam is it possible to create flexible open spaces with long spans.
DELTABEAM® contributes to making buildings more sustainable through its ability to make floors slimmer. Slim floor buildings require less cladding for the same usable interior volume which in turn reduces heating and cooling energy consumption. The first delivery of beams was in the beginning of June 2023. A total amount of 300 beams will be delivered to the project, of which 275 beams is to the school buildings and 25 beams in the sports hall.
To creating openings within hollow-core slab floors in the buildings has our unique technical solution PETRA® been used.
